The Stars Are Bright: Constellation Field
The Cosmic Charm of Constellation Field
Sugar-Free Fun
Constellation Field is located in Sugar Land. They are the Space Cowboys, a Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros. Constellation Field is a truly unlikely baseball stadium. Once you step inside, you'll notice the stadium itself is a nod to Sugar Land's history, with its rustic architecture reflecting the town's roots as a sugar town.
Guiding Lights
Among the many cool things to experience at Constellation Field, the scoreboard is one of the best. Shaped like the state of Texas, it is one of the very best in the United States, recently updated in 2020 to have even better resolution. Another attraction is the famous athletes who may have been past their prime or played another sport. Local legends like Tracy McGrady and "The Rocket" Roger Clemens have pitched in their older years to the fans delight. As day turns to night, the stadium truly comes alive. Stargazing in the middle of a ballgame occasionally has you forgetting while you're there in the first place!
Under the Stars
Beyond the Constellation walls, there are a multitude of fun things to do and places to see. The Museum of Natural Science provides an in-depth look at the wonders of the natural world, including interactive exhibits and educational programs that can interest both young and old! Nature lovers will appreciate Oyster Creek Park, located nearby. It offers serene walking trails and a beautiful lake. Sugar Land is renowned for its diverse dining scene. Whether you're in the mood for Tex-Mex, barbecue, international cuisine, or fine dining, you'll find plenty of delights to savor in this area.
